Looking back at where we started
When EDEN & CO started, it was just a dream. It began about 12 years ago, when Nikke handcrafted a leather bag as a birthday gift for Conrad while they were both still students. That simple gesture sparked the beginning of something bigger.
What followed were years of building from scratch – cutting, stitching, and packaging everything by hand on the floor of a small apartment. No team, no storefront – just passion, persistence, and a vision to create something beautiful and lasting.
What many don’t know is that Nikke had a student job as a goldsmith while studying, and even then, she knew she wanted to pursue jewellery one day – even when leather bags were the main focus.
Fast forward about 12 years, and EDEN & CO has evolved. We’ve moved from leather to timeless jewellery – we now have 10 full-time jewellers, creating solid sterling silver and gold pieces that celebrate everyday luxury. And this year, we reached a milestone we’ve had in mind since day one: opening our first store in the heart of Stellenbosch.
It’s a full-circle moment. From a birthday gift to a curated store. From leather to silver and gold. From a makeshift workspace to a growing, loyal community. You have been part of this journey, and we are so grateful for the support.
